Rules
For The Crossed Flags Online Racing League 2000 1.2-Absolutely no running starts!!! All those found guilty of breaking this rule will be penalized 5 race points!!! 1.3-All drivers please try to attend the drivers meeting at 5:30 before each race (you have to be on ICQ at that time) 1.4-At Winston NO BULL events (listed as such on the season schedule), winners of the events will recieve a $1,000,000 bonus in league earnings in addition to what they have earned at the particular track in which they placed first at. There will be 7 events in the NO BULL series. For each NO BULL event 5 drivers will be eligible for the bonus and made aware so prior to the event. For the first race of the season, Daytona, drivers will be made eligible by the holding of a NO BULL shootout event held at Daytona International Speedway. The top 5 finishing drivers will be eligible for the NO BULL bonus at Daytona and all other NO BULL events that particular season. I will make the drivers who are eligible aware of who they are at the driver meeting before the event. At the end of the season the driver who earns the most NO BULL money in addition to other money earned from placing in races will receive a special NO BULL top money winner award. The payouts for events are as follows: 1=$500,000 2=$300,000 3=$200,000 4=$175,000 5=$150,000 6=$125,000 7=$110,000 8=$100,000 9=$90,000 10=$85,000 11=$80,000 12=$75,000 13=$70,000 14=$65,000 15=$60,000 16=$55,000 17=$50,000 18=$45,000 19=$40,000 20=$35,000 21=$30,000 22=$25,000 23=$20,000 24=$18,000 25=$16,000 26=$14,000 27=$12,000 28=$10,000 29=$8,000 30=$6,000 31=$4000 32=$3,500 33=$3,200 34=$3,000 35=$2,800 36 and on=$2,600---> In addition to these payouts drivers will now be responsible for finances. Poles will earn drivers $1000. The hard charger bonus is for the driver that ends the race with the highest number of positions gained and earns the driver $500. Most laps lead awards the driver $250 and a lap led awards the driver $200. Race entry fees are $1000/event. Weekly expenses cost $2000. DNFs cost the driver $3000. If your money earnings level reaches below zero into negative numbers your race team is considered to have payed the race entrance fee for you to compete at the next event, as well as all other race expensives and you may continue racing. However, if your money earnings remain in the negative numbers for 3 races or more you MUST do ONE of the following and report your decision to the TCF President: 1) Lose sponsorship and submit a new car with the same car # or different untaken car # and new sponsor. 2) Sit out the remainder of the season and replace yourself as driver with a new driver for the remainder of the season or pull out for the season period. 3) Miss one race event and then return for 2 races....at the end of which if you have now gotten your money earnings out of the negatives you may return to the series full-time, if not you will be demoted to the TCF Busch Series for the remainder of the season. The money earnings are generally not a very big problem and most drivers will not have any problems with keeping out of negative expenses at all. These rules changes are another step to help improve driving quality in this league to ensure a high level of competition and fun.
1.5-No irresponsible, purposely reckless drivers will be tollerated. A deduction of 5pts may take place. 1.6-No "heavy" foul language 1.7-ABSOLUTELY NO TYPING WHILE IN A PACK OF CARS OR IN TURNS 1.8-Once you exit the pits you may not move directly to the track, you must stay on the apron until you reach the backstretch. If you violate this rule, you may be penalized 5pts. While leaving the pits, you must stay in the right lane. If you stay in the left lane, if you cause an accident, you will be deducted 5pts. 1.9-Tell drivers when you are entering and exiting pit road. 1.10-If you are involved in a wreck, you may send a replay to league director Jon Baldridge at [email protected] and he will determine what happened and who will be fined 10pts 1.11-If a driver is gaining on you quickly, let them by, they will probably return the favor later in the race if you are faster than them. 1.12-The pole sitter or race leader determines when to accelerate for the green. Watch the pole sitter or leader of the race to determine when to accelerate 1.13-If you jump the start, you will be fined 5pts 1.14-TCF will follow the N3 points system from finishing posistion 1 to 32 1.15-Cars one lap down or more are expected to let cars that are on the lead lap go by. 1.16-Drivers may only chat using the "t" key under caution. They can only use the F1, F2, etc. keys under green 1.17-Director's decisions are final and pending regarding all penalties and points deductions, etc 1.18-If you miss a race because you were unable to make it you will not be awarded any points. If you are not there you do not earn points. Show up for the next race and try to get back into the swing of things 1.19-In the event you have been taken out of a race and are unable to continue you must leave the race immediately and exit the event. This helps to ensure a good connection for all the remaining people. It also alleviates the problem with people reviewing replays during a race causing "phantom" black flags and cautions to occur. This will aid me in keeping proper track of people receiving DNFs as well. Because if a person is out of a race and cannot continue, if they stay at the event they do not receive a DNF like they should. The game simply lists them as "running". If you are concerned about an on-track incident with another vehicle and wanted to save the replay to show me what had occurred instead e-mail or ICQ me and let me know approximately what lap the incident occured on and with whom. I keep full replays of every TCF event and will be able to view the replay in question to determine if penalties should be handed out 1.20-If you have spun out, and there are cars behind you, please do your best to come to a complete stop and let them by-after they have passed you may turn around and continue going. If you are stopped in the grass, you may turn your car around ON THE GRASS and continue going. This rule also does not apply if you have come to a complete stop and the front end of your car is facing the correct way. 1.21-If your car is dead and you are stopped on the track, please alert others where you are stopped and wait for the tow truck. 2.-Car Files 3.-Substitute
Drivers 4.-Pace and
Yellow Flag Laps 5.-Lapped
Traffic 6.-Penalties 7.-Chat 8.-Beta Patch 9.-Warp 9.2-If a race is deemed warpy then all drivers are required to maintain the groove they enter the corners and straights at.If a driver brakes this rule then he will be punished whether the infraction is accident causing or not. Again the severity of the punishment is determined by the severity of the offense.(i.e. if driver-a goes in turn 1 in the second groove up then he is required to stay in the second groove up until he exits that corner.) There will be no warpy road-course races they are either warp-free or warp-plagued. 9.3-If a certain car is experiencing particularly bad warp then an official might ask that driver to park his car for the remainder of the race or pit. Do not lose your cool if this happens to you, it happens to the best of us.
